Roxen: Linx Launched Rail Travel Site Developed by Volfram on Roxen Platform in Ten Days

STOCKHOLM, Sweden, July 5, 2001 (PRIMEZONE) -- Roxen Internet Software (SSE:ROX) today announced that Linx, the passenger rail company co-owned by the Norwegian and Swedish state railways, has based its newly launched train travel site on the company's Web Content Management Software Roxen Platform. Systems integrator Volfram developed the site in record time to support the fast moving business of Linx.

Linx, the new Scandinavian passenger rail company, has launched its new Internet site www.linx.se to offer fresh travel information and ticketing for train travelers. The site is powered by Roxen Platform, the highly flexible Web Content Management software. Customization and implementation of the software has been performed by Roxen IS partner Volfram.

The site is initially supporting train travelers with searchable timetables and frequently updated travel information, and will in coming versions support paperless ticketing.

"Volfram has developed the site at the speed of business. For Linx, that meant that Volfram had only ten days to build the site and we are very pleased with the result. Responsibilities for further development of the site and continuous updates of the content is distributed between our ad agency, Volfram, and various groups at Linx, and we find that Roxen Platform has excellent support for our way of organizing work, " said Oeyvind Roerslett, Marketing Director Linx.

"Volfram did a first class job developing a Web site supporting the business of Linx in record time. But the result is not only due to our strong partner, it is also proof that Roxen Platform is an excellent platform for professional Web site development," said Lars Hoegberg, CEO Roxen Internet Software.

Linx.se was developed to support train travelers on the Linx lines Copenhagen-Malmoe-Gothenburg-Oslo and Oslo-Karlstad-Stockholm. The first iteration implements timetables and updated traffic information. Future versions will support on line ticketing without paper tickets.

Design policies for linx.se have been established in close cooperation between Volfram and ad agency Westart, which also works with the content. The site was built by Volfram in cooperation with Linx. A development team, as well as an editorial group within Linx's marketing department, is setting the direction for future work. Ultimate responsibility for the site and its direction lies with the CEO of Linx and Marketing Director Oeyvind Roerslett.
