Gauss Appoints Thomas Brommund to Lead Marketing Efforts in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA)


HAMBURG, Germany, August 1, 2001 (PRIMEZONE) Gauss Interprise AG (GER:GSO), the developer of unified content management for the extended enterprise, today announced that the company has named 39-year old Thomas Brommund to lead the Gauss' marketing initiatives for Europe, the Middle-East, and Africa (EMEA). Brommund will report directly to Olaf Siemens, the member of the Gauss executive management board responsible for global Research & Development, as well as Marketing and Sales for EMEA.

Brommund will aggressively drive European marketing operations for Gauss' unified content management suite, the VIP Platform. He brings to the table more than ten years experience in international marketing and product management. Moreover, Brommund served as Gauss' head of product marketing for EMEA and was highly involved in the process of strategically positioning Gauss' VIP Platform within the EMEA marketplace.

Prior to joining Gauss, Brommund was Director of Sales & Marketing for Germany, Austria and Switzerland at Ulead Systems GmbH. He also held management positions marketing and product management at ELSA AG, Peacock GmbH & Co. KG, and Panasonic Deutschland GmbH.
