STOCKHOLM, Sweden, August 29, 2001 (PRIMEZONE) -- Roxen Internet Software AB (Roxen IS) (SSE:ROX) today announced that it has appointed Claes Rickeby chairman of the board. He was elected new member of the board at the annual meeting in June, and has now succeeded Lars Olof Baeckman as chairman. Mr Baeckman remains a full member of the board.

"Claes' executive experience from the IT and Telecom industry makes him the ideal person to lead Roxen Internet Software from the chairman's position. We have discussed this change for some time and I am pleased both from a professional as well as a personal view that Claes has accepted to become chairman. He will be able to work in a very operative way, which is a great asset to the company as the Web Content Management business is entering a phase of both growth and consolidation," said resigned chairman Lars Olof Baeckman.

Commented Claes Rickeby on his new role:

"My contribution will be to make sure that Roxen Internet Software keeps the initiative in the Web Content Management business with an increased focus on business needs of clients. We are now entering a time of high growth and vendor consolidation. My priorities are to ensure that Roxen IS has a complete Web Content Management offering to its clients, with the right products and right choice of channels. I also have to secure that Roxen IS has the size and stability to be viewed as a viable business partner."

"Claes has been a highly appreciated board member who has contributed greatly to the operation of the company. I look forward to benefit even more from his strategic view and sound business judgment in his new role, " said Lars Hoegberg, CEO Roxen Internet Software.

Claes Rickeby is a 25 years marketing, engineering and management veteran from Ericsson, who's most recent position was CEO of Qeyton Systems AB, which was acquired by Cisco to become Cisco Photonics (Sweden) AB.
