OnSail Advertising Introduces Unique Promotional Option to Agencies and Their Clients

LOS ANGELES, Nov. 27, 2001 (PRIMEZONE) -- The era of talking cereal and dancing seltzer tablets may not be gone, but those campaigns are more easily forgotten amid the new and creative options now available in the industry.

As agencies search for original and innovative ways to promote the services and products that keep the economy thriving, a new vision of the world is emerging. For the first time in history, cell phones and laptop computers allow executives and their consumers to truly mix business with pleasure in a recreational environment.

Always ahead of his time, advertising executive Michael Stearns has spent much of his career in a swimming suit rather than a business suit.

"Most of my life, I was either living or sitting on beaches around the world. I soon realized that there must be billions of square yards of stark white sails, harnessed to vessels on every body of water throughout the world."

"Nearly 70 million beach-goers visited Los Angeles beaches in 2000," observed Stearns. "Since a picture is worth a thousand words, why hasn't anyone used those sails for commercial advertising? With strategic placement, those white canvases can be worth a thousand customers."

With that thought, Stearns, who has an impressive background as a musician, an actor and a business executive, rallied his innate drive and creativity to found OnSail Advertising.

His company now provides custom advertising on sails, and places them on vessels moored just past the surf line, within view of thousands of consumers relaxing on the beach.

OnSail is a totally new and unique concept to the advertising market. This proprietary method and concept is protected and registered with the U.S. Department of Patents and Trademarks.

The cost of a full-page ad in the L.A. Times is approximately $90,000 for one day. OnSail prices are quite a bargain at just $5,000 a day. Their advertisements reach a captive audience, with a demographic base that provides some of the most lucrative potential in the world.

Custom sails are manufactured to specifications. Almost any conceivable logo can be recreated on a premium quality 800 sq.ft. sail, specifically designed to fly at the location of choice.

Starting with L.A. and Orange County this season, OnSail provides sailboat and captain with all necessary licenses and liability insurance, strictly adhering to U.S. Coast Guard regulations.

Orders for summer start on January 2, 2002. Locations and available dates are handled on a first come, first-served basis.
