COPENHAGEN, Denmark, Feb. 25, 2002 (PRIMEZONE) -- The Malaysian stock exchange authorities have approved that Carlsberg Asia Holdings Pte. Ltd. is not obliged to make a public offer to the other shareholders of Carlsberg Brewery Malaysia Berhad.
Carlsberg Asia is now established and therefore Carlsberg will consolidate Carlsberg Asia pro rata (50 percent) as of January 1, 2002.
