Asia Broadband's Multimedia Educational Contents Adopted by Government Schools

ATLANTA and SHANGHAI, June 8, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- The management of Asia Broadband, Inc. (Pink Sheets:ASAB) is pleased to announce that Shanghai Broadband Network Inc., its Chinese subsidiary, received academic approval and commercially released its state-of-the-art interactive E-Ya Kids English educational program and entered into an agreement with the Education Information Center of Pudong New Area of Shanghai.

According to the five-year contract between Shanghai Broadband Network and the Education Information Center of Pudong New Area of Shanghai, its pedagogic and game-based interactive multimedia Web-based program, E-Ya Kids English, will be used as a key program within the Education Information Network of Pudong New Area of Shanghai which represents 120 primary schools and 125,000 students.

This deployment approval followed a one-year trial program involving 16 primary schools in the Pudong New Area of Shanghai. The extensive trial program demonstrated the quality of the software content and successfully positioned an entirely new teaching method by integrating the multimedia material with existing traditional classroom content.

The E-Ya Kids English program is designed to strengthen the English primary school curriculum by inspiring young children to study and learn English while also strengthening the teacher's skills in language development. A critical component of the program is a five-grade program structure that perfectly integrates with the current primary school's official English language curriculum.

Within the agreement, the school children of Pudong New Area are also able to access this material via subscription from off campus and by means of the public website of The Education Information Center of Pudong New Area of Shanghai (www.pudong-edu.sh.cn/resource/).

Given the outstanding success of E-Ya Kids English in Pudong New Area, the Shanghai Broadband Network is in active discussions with other school districts to adopt this program for their respective schools. There are over 200 million children enrolled in primary education in China.

The common stock of Asia Broadband, Inc. currently trades on the Pink Sheets OTC under the trading symbol ASAB.
