AWE Retrofit Engineering & Design Completed and Building of Prototype Retrofit Unit Commenced

TUCSON, Ariz., Feb. 1, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- The management of Environmental Technologies International, Inc. (Pink Sheets:EMTI) is pleased to announce that its subsidiary, Awe Engineering, Inc., has completed the initial engineering and designs for a retrofit AWE HVAC unit applicable for commercial-building mass markets, and that it has begun to build the prototype of this unit. The unit will incorporate improvements in water technology and additional state-of-the-art refinements that are expected to improve upon the already impressive capabilities of the AWE system.

Proven Capabilities

Prior to EMTI's acquisition of Awe Engineering, Inc. in 2004, the developer of the technology, Mr. Doug Johnson - now Chief Operating Officer and Director of R & D for Awe Engineering, Inc. - successfully converted two facilities in the State of Florida and demonstrated electrical energy savings in excess of 50% in both conversions while materially improving Air Quality. Simultaneously, this technology has produced and distributed the purest drinking water compared to any and all other types of concepts utilized in improving water for human consumption in today's market. Upon the official market launch, the Company intends to aggressively pursue those specialized markets that require a dependable supply of very-high-purity water, such as hospitals, laboratories, and high-tech manufacturers.

Awe Engineering, Inc. has been working with Pure & Secure LLC (formerly Pure Water Inc.) and its consultants and employees, in pursuit of the perfection and commercialization of the AWE technology.

The AWE Technology

The technology represents a quantum leap over conventional building energy-management systems, offering the potential to dramatically improve the workplace/living environment while capturing significant savings for commercial building owners/operators. Through a retrofit on existing commercial buildings, the system is capable of significantly reducing electrical costs, while also improving air quality and humidity control, and achieving the virtual elimination of mold and mildew in the building. In addition, the system also produces pure water for use by building tenants.

A Potential Multibillion-Dollar Market

The intended use of AWE's proprietary technology in building heating/cooling, energy, and water systems is global in scope, and is estimated to exceed many billions of dollars. In addition, the system also produces pure water for use by building tenants. It is a leading-edge technological advance which, when developed for building-environment control systems, is expected to find broad acceptance owing to the fact that the savings in building maintenance/operations garnered by the system will in fact pay for itself many times over.
