Integra Foundation Awards Grant to American Burn Association

PLAINSBORO, N.J., March 30, 2006 (PRIMEZONE) -- The Integra Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Integra LifeSciences Corporation, has awarded a $10,000 grant to the American Burn Association (ABA), in support of the publication of a Coding Primer for burn caregivers, which will be made available at a Coding Primer Course during the ABA's 38th Annual Meeting on April 4-7, 2006, Las Vegas, Nevada.

"We are delighted to be able to help make this valuable resource available to burn caregivers," said Gianna Sabella, Executive Director of the Integra Foundation.

Founded in 1967, the American Burn Association has been dedicated to improving the lives of everyone affected by burn injury through prevention, patient care, education, research and advocacy. To advance these goals, the ABA sponsors a variety of educational programs, fellowships, research, teaching and publications, including the leading peer-reviewed, scientific journal in the burn field, the "Journal of Burn Care & Research."

"We appreciate the support from the Integra Foundation," said John Krichbaum, Executive Director of the American Burn Association. "The coding primer is an essential tool for physicians and their staff to accurately code burn care procedures for appropriate reimbursement."
