InRob in Final Stages of Negotiations for Remote-Controlled D-9 Manufacturing Contract

LAS VEGAS , April 2, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- InRob Ltd. ("InRob") (OTCBB:IRBL), a leader in the development and production of advanced wireless control systems and integrated solutions for unmanned ground vehicles (UGV), today announced that the company is in the final stages of negotiations on a manufacturing contract concerning several remotely controlled systems for D-9 vehicles.

According to the contract which is expected to be signed in the near future with a major Israeli R&D institution, InRob will upgrade existing D-9s with its own best-of-class military standard technology, including electronics, wiring, electrical systems, software, communications and an advanced remote control unit which InRob developed in late 2005 specifically for the D9. The upgraded D-9s are designated for military use. Subject to the finalization of the purchase of the Company's new plant in the Philippines, the Company intends to use its extended production capacity to mass-produce the D-9 upgrades.

The Caterpillar D9 is a large track-type tractor (commonly referred to as a bulldozer) designed and manufactured by Caterpillar Inc. The D9, with 410hp of gross power and an operating weight of 53.8 tons, is in the upper end of Caterpillar's track-type tractors. The size, durability, reliability, and low operating costs have made the D9 one of the most popular large track-type tractors in the world.

The D9 is most commonly found in use in construction, forestry, mining, waste, and quarry operations. In military situations, D9s have been successfully used for digging moats, clearing terrain obstacles and engineering tasks, and have also been used to clear landmine fields and booby-trapped areas.

"The armored D9 is already in use by the IDF, providing armor protection to the vehicle's external hydraulics and operator cabin. Supplementing the D9 with a remote-control unit is another step forward in protecting D9 operators and soldiers," notes Nissim Halabi, General Manager of InRob.
