Lotus Pharmaceuticals Adds Five New Retail Stores and Starts a Major Advertising Campaign


BEIJING, July 9, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Lotus Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (OTCBB:LTUS) announced the addition of five new retail stores and a print media advertising campaign to help gain national brand recognition.

Dr. Liu Zhongyi, CEO and founder, announced: "Since May 2007, Lotus has started to sign acquisition agreements with four retail drug stores, including Yongantang's Fangshan Drug Store, Yanshan Drug Store, Huirenda Drug Store and Tianheng Drug Store. We have also started to establish the Longrentang Drug Store in Wanquansi, Haidian District of Beijing.

"Once starting formal operations, these retail stores' annual sales revenue should be as much as $2 million, with net profits forecast up to $500,000. This will bring the total number of Lotus retail drug stores to 15 in Greater Beijing," exuded Dr. Liu.

Related to this announcement, Dr. Liu added: "Starting in July, Lotus will spend about $100,000 each month in the nationally-distributed Health Daily to build the company's image and extensively advertise our products. Lotus is committed to expanding its market share in an effort to become a national brand."
