Franklin Bank Corp. Files Compliance Plan With AMEX


HOUSTON, April 4, 2008 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Franklin Bank Corp. (Nasdaq:FBTX) (AMEX:FBK-P.LF) ("Franklin") announced that, on April 3rd, it submitted a plan, as required, to The American Stock Exchange ("AMEX") advising AMEX of action Franklin has taken, or will take, to file its Form 10-K for the year ended December 31, 2007, and bring Franklin into compliance by no later than June 17, 2008. The Company's Series A Non-Cumulative Perpetual Preferred Stock ("Preferred Stock") trades on the AMEX under the symbol "FBK-P.LF."

The plan remains subject to review and acceptance by the AMEX. If accepted, the plan will continue to be subject to periodic review to determine whether Franklin is making progress consistent with the plan. If the plan is not accepted, or if Franklin does not make progress consistent with the plan, the AMEX may initiate delisting procedures as appropriate.
