BOCA RATON, Fla., July 16, 2008 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Silver Companies, a national real estate investment and development firm, announced that Jarad Scher has joined its staff as Senior Financial Analyst.
Silver Capital, LLC, the private equity arm of Silver Companies, organizes funds that invest in residential and commercial real estate. During the last five years, Silver Capital has originated more than $1 billion of equity and debt financing for real estate projects owned by Silver Companies and its funds.
As Senior Financial Analyst, Scher will be responsible for evaluating investment opportunities and structuring ventures with developers and strategic partners. Scher will also be responsible for asset management, including business planning, budgeting and investor reporting.
Prior to joining Silver, Scher was CFO of Summit Brokerage Services, an independent broker-dealer. As CFO, Scher was involved with a full complement of investment products and services, including traditional brokerage services, fee-based products, and annuities and other insurance-related products. Prior to that he worked in public accounting where he served clients involved in real estate construction and development. Scher also worked as Controller for a property management firm.
Scher earned his MBA in Real Estate Development from Nova Southeastern University and a BBA with a concentration in accounting from James Madison University.
