CORONA DEL MAR, Calif., May 6, 2009 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- ICC Worldwide, Inc. (Pink Sheets:ICCW) today announced that it is now offering a fee-based commercial service to third party clients wishing to sell prepaid calling cards and mobile phone recharge products in the European telecommunications market. This service utilizes ICC's advanced web-based software products and widely deployed network for delivery of this service.
Originally developed for internal use by ICC's wholesale and retail customers, the software is comprehensive and extremely easy to use. In addition to supporting a variety of web browsers and printers, the software may also be utilized in conjunction with various special purpose terminals and point of sale devices. As part of the offering, ICC is able to brand the platform to individual customer specifications. ICC will also manage the service on behalf of the reseller utilizing ICC's network services and web servers.

It is a refined and stable platform with many features not found in other commercially available products. Over the past year, a number of organizations have expressed interest in licensing our technology for their own use. This interest applies to both cards and billing solutions for VoIP traffic. Given the highly developed state of our software, we have concluded that offering this service when offered on a per transaction basis can be an incremental and highly beneficial source of revenue for ICC. In certain cases, the service will also be made available to our existing call shop customers, thus adding products not currently available from ICC to the customer's mix."
Lauer went on to say, "We have an initial customer for this service already under contract. This group is one of Europe's largest independent card suppliers. We are currently completing the branding and final testing on the customer's behalf and will be deploying the solution with them later in May."
