Plastics Conversion Technologies Announces New Vendor and Successful Testing On Recent Multi-state Trip

SEATTLE, July 1, 2009 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- GeoBio Energy, Inc. (Pink Sheets:GBOE), d/b/a Plastics Conversion Technologies, Inc. (PCT or "the Company"), a Colorado-incorporated plastics cleaning, separation, and recycling company, today announces a new systems vendor and results of an intensive week of preparation for the development and operation of its first plant, as well as significant further testing of its proprietary plastics cleaning process. Gary De Laurentiis, Enviroplastics Corp.'s (EnviroPlastics), founder and COO, and Andy Kegler, EnviroPlastics' CTO met in Fond du Lac, WI, expected site of the company's first facility, with the city Economic Development group to review the latest information on company plans. Later, they met with building contractor Bayland Buildings, Inc. (www.baylandbuildings.com), and with several potential subcontractors for the project, going over plans and specifications for the proposed building's infrastructure including electrical, HVAC and fire suppression systems.

The following day, meetings were held at the offices of local strategic partner Sadoff & Rudoy Metals (S&R www.sadoff.com), proposed schedules and plans were discussed, and some auto shredder residue (ASR) materials were collected from S&R for further PCT process testing and evaluation.

Upon completion of the work in Wisconsin, the team then moved on to Peoria and Crystal Lake, Illinois, where equipment tests with investor and partner Central Manufacturing, Inc. (www.centralmhs.com) and new systems vendor General Kinematics (www.generalkinematics.com) took place. The testing completed was considered highly successful by all parties involved, and the results move PCT forward on both process and custom equipment development fronts.

Stated Mr. De Laurentiis, "This was an extremely long, busy, and productive week for Andy and me, and a vital week for PCT. We made significant progress toward commencing construction of our first cleaning facility, and we gathered substantial testing and machinery development data as well. At this point, we expect to begin construction in Fall of 2009, and we should have final process approvals and facility equipment selections done by then as well."

About Plastics Conversion Technologies:

Plastics Conversion Technologies is a plastics recovery, separation, cleaning, and recycling company. It was formed via a merger agreement between GeoBio, Inc. and EnviroPlastics, Inc., set to be completed during the Summer of 2009, with the intent to supply recycled commercial plastics to industries such as the automotive and consumer products industries, and it plans to construct large-scale plastics recycling facilities near automotive shredder locations nationwide. Operating in conjunction with large national metal recycling partners (see "Strategic Partners"), the company, using a patent-pending process developed by EnviroPlastics, will produce recycled commercial grade plastics ready to be re-introduced into commerce. Additionally, in conjunction with other Strategic Partners, PCT will convert waste and scrap plastic (both from its own processing and from other sources) into high-value energy products, including synthetic oil.
