USPTO Issues Notice of Allowability for Two More WordLogic Patents

VANCOUVER, British Columbia, Dec. 2, 2010 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The US Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) has issued a Notice of Allowability for two (2) more patent pending applications to the WordLogic Corporation (OTCBB:WLGC), Frank Evanshen, CEO of WordLogic Corporation announced today. Mr. Evanshen explained that Notice of Allowance 11/871,887 and Notice of Allowance for Patent 11/871,900, refer to WordLogic's "keyboard prediction and search utilizing gesturing software technology."

WordLogic (www.wordlogic.com) is the developer of patent-protected predictive text software used in input and Internet-based search applications. WordLogic offers advanced methods of text and information entry into personal computing devices ranging from small handheld mobile devices like smartphones, to tablet and desktop computers.

Earlier this week, WordLogic released the results of a study performed by San Diego-based Thibault Patent Group (TPG) that demonstrates the validity and broad scope of three of the company's pioneering predictive text patents, dating back to 1999. TPG reported that Patents 7,716,579, 7,293,231 and 7,681,124, appear applicable to a very broad array of products such as PCs, smartphones, cell phones, PDAs, GPS, notebooks, netbooks and other such devices.

The TPG patent analysis reports state, "The (WordLogic) patents could potentially be worth hundreds of millions of dollars, based on the number of potentially infringing devices in the market today."
