BroadVision Expands Clearvale's Enterprise Social Networking Capabilities

New Features Deliver More Effective Collaboration Around Existing Workflows and System Integrations

REDWOOD CITY, Calif., Nov. 16, 2011 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- BroadVision, Inc. (Nasdaq:BVSN), a global leader in social business solutions, today announced at the Enterprise 2.0 Conference in Santa Clara the immediate availability of new capabilities in Clearvale, the company's cloud-based enterprise social networking solution.

"We have worked with businesses around the globe helping them further engage with employees, customers, and partners using the Clearvale social business platform," said Richard Hughes, Director of Product Strategy at BroadVision. "The new Clearvale features make it simple to adopt and integrate with existing workflows enabling more effective collaboration across the enterprise."

Significant enhancements to Clearvale include:

  • Improved Tasks Tasks, Clearvale's assignment management feature, enables users to create tasks that contain multiple steps and assign each step to one or more people. It keeps track of who is responsible for the current step, notifies the next person when it is their turn to complete a step, and notifies the task owner when actions have been taken. As a people-centric workflow engine, Clearvale Tasks adds a dimension of structured processes to otherwise unstructured social networking activities across the enterprise.
  • Microsoft Outlook IntegrationClearvale It, a Clearvale™ plug-in for Microsoft Outlook, allows users to quickly transform email conversations into Clearvale blogs or discussion forums – all without having to leave the Outlook interface. Users can select in which communities to place entire email threads, and even transform email attachments into Clearvale files with a few simple clicks.
  • External Widgets – Users can now include dynamic content from an external application in their own network and can also publish external widgets for global use by other Clearvale users. External widgets can be used for integrating Clearvale as a platform of engagement with systems of records of any kind.
  • Salesforce.com Integration – Clearvale's integration with Salesforce.com's Salesforce Enterprise Edition enables users to display Salesforce data, charts, and updates within a Clearvale community, enabling colleagues to collaborate and communicate around deals, leads, and opportunities.

Both integrations, Microsoft Outlook and Salesforce.com, can be downloaded from Clearvale Connect, the social community for Clearvale users.

Clearvale consists of Clearvale Enterprise, a full featured enterprise network suite that enables businesses to create a social enterprise ecosystem, and Clearvale Express, a free enterprise social networking and team collaboration software tool for a single network. To learn more about Clearvale, please visit:
