Roadside Veterinary Clinic Announces New Pet Care Site

HIGHLAND, Mich., Aug. 19, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Roadside Veterinary Clinic announced that they have launched a new website, http://roadsideveterinaryclinic.com/, to better serve pet owners. The redesigned website features a New Patient Center, information about the practice's services, access to a secure Pet Portal, and a Veterinary Topics library. The Highland veterinarians provide wellness, dental, surgical and emergency pet care. They also provide boarding, grooming and bathing.

Veterinarian Dr. Carol Pajak announced that the new website for Roadside Veterinary Clinic features a user-friendly design that makes it easy to access important wellness information.

"As a veterinarian, I believe nothing is more important than the well being of each and every one of my pet patients," said Dr. Pajak. "A long, healthy life starts with proactive wellness care at home. Our new website provides pet owners with the tools and resources they need to help their pets get a healthy start to life."

First-time pet owners who wish to learn more about wellness care may visit the website's "Veterinary Topics" library. This collection of articles includes information on selecting the right pet for an individual's lifestyle, welcoming that pet into the home, and helping the pet with basic obedience training. The library also includes a checklist for recognizing the signs of illness in companion animals.

"The earlier that a pet owner can recognize a potential health problem, then the more we can do to keep that pet healthy," said Dr. Pajak. "These new website features are an important part of our mission to educate and empower pet owners."

The website also includes information about the services available at the veterinary clinic in Highland as well as the clinic's wellness packages. The New Patient Center includes online forms that can be filled out in advance of a visit to help reduce time in the waiting room.

Pet owners who wish to make an appointment with the vet clinic may do so by using the website's online appointment request form. Pet owners who use the online form may also take advantage of the website-only appointment special.

"Our goal is to help pet owners have an easy, stress-free visit," said Dr. Pajak. "The new website naturally complements our practice's commitment to wellness care. There's a lot of vet care information available online, and not all of it is up to date. We are excited to provide pet owners with a reliable, accurate source for vet care information."

Pet owners may stay up to date on the latest wellness news by signing up for the vet clinic's bi-weekly e-newsletter or visiting the website's blog.

Roadside Veterinary Clinic is part of the Progressive Animal Hospitals companion animal hospital network. This network includes four veterinary practices that all emphasize proactive wellness care, including vaccinations, spay/neuter operations and microchipping.
