JACKSONVILLE, Fla., Sept. 6, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Mariner's Choice International, Inc. (OTC Pink Sheets:MCII), a North American manufacturer and marketer of an extensive line of ecologically-safe products for the marine and other industry segments, today announced that they are making further inroads into the Caribbean islands.
Mariner's Choice has delivered another shipment of MUNOX® to the distributor in Trinidad. The distributor is committing resources to market and sell the product throughout Trinidad and the rest of the Caribbean, where we currently do not have representation.
"The opportunity we have by working with this particular distributor is that they are a large corporation that services the islands in various industry segments. The division, which handles MUNOX®, is entrenched in the oil industry and they hold 'registered vendor' status with a number of oil refineries. It appears that they have moved much of the inventory already, and the next order is expected imminently," stated Amie Hingston, President & CEO of Mariner's Choice.
The recent oil spill in Curaçao is giving the distributor there an opportunity to bring MUNOX® to the forefront. The product is being reviewed and considered by the committee in charge of the clean-up. Decision is anticipated in the coming days.

While the focused effort remains on the bioremediation sector, the Company saw some success this summer season with DeBug™, the deet-free all-natural bug repellent patch. A national retailer carried it at more than 100 outlets. As well, the product was sold in a number of independent outdoor shops.
