Using a home Wi-Fi network the new service offers consumers control over their home appliances when out of the house

Paris, 5 September 2014 - Worldline [Euronext:WLN], the European leader in the payments and transactional services industry, was chosen by BSH Bosch und Siemens Hausgeräte GmbH (BSH) to implement a solution that allows customers to monitor and control their appliances remotely. The new service will be officially unveiled at IFA 2014 in Berlin in September, and initially be rolled out in Germany and Austria by the end of this year.

Using Worldline expertise BSH will offer Home Connect to its customers allowing them to use a standard home Wi-Fi connection via the Home Connect cloud servers to operate their appliances remotely. It offers connectivity via smartphones and tablets and will be based on an open standard, meaning that a range of home appliance manufacturers will be able to use it. Using its expertise in processing transactions Worldline has developed the solution and runs the Cloud platform where the Household devices will be connected to.
