MASS Communications Shares 2015 Milestones

Telecom Innovator Reports 34% Revenue Growth, Approaching 1,000 Customers

NEW YORK, Jan. 21, 2016 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- MASS Communications concluded 2015 with strong growth in its voice and data networking business, reporting 34 percent revenue growth compared with the prior year, and a number of customer and corporate milestones.

The company’s year-end revenues of $21.6 million included 32% growth in adjusted EBITDA. Revenue has increased by more than 50,000 times since the company’s first year of operation in 2008.

Fast approaching 1,000 customers, MASS Communications serves a broad range of global enterprises in the financial, legal, healthcare, technology, education and government space, offering custom-engineered, ultra-dependable voice, data and risk management solutions.  More than 20 jobs were created in the last three years.

“2015 was a record year for MASS Communications as we dramatically grew our revenue, as well as our customer base, while investing in our infrastructure and network,” says Darren Mass, CEO of MASS Communications. “We are well positioned in 2016 to continue this successful track record as the preferred connectivity and telecommunications partner for our customers.”

For the third year in a row, the company was named to the Inc. 500|5000 List of Fastest-growing Privately Held Companies.  Crain’s New York Business tapped MASS Communications as one of the 100 Best Places to Work in New York City and SmartCEO New York awarded MASS Comm its Top 40 Company Cultures Award and Future 50 Award.

According to David L. Schwed, General Counsel and CIO, MASS Communications now has more than 100,000 supported access lines. “A big factor in our success is that we always think about our customers first. We also are relentlessly focused on innovation and service excellence – a combination that makes our proactive approach to monitoring and support unprecedented in the telecom sector,” he says.

MASS Comm’s leaders point to the employees and a culture that empowers and seeks the contributions of each person as the secret to their long-term success. People initiatives are a big focus at MASS, which pays 100% of the health coverage (medical and dental) for its employees and their families.  More than half of all MASS employees have gone through certification training in the last year. These certifications range from Project Management to the advanced network specific programs.

“Culture is everything to our organization,” says Marc Gold, President and Chief Operating Officer, MASS Communications.  “The leadership team is fully committed to engaging employees -- it defines our company, and allows us to excel as a service provider.  It also makes us a very different kind of employer.”
