University of the Southwest Extends Six Year Partnership with Greenwood Hall

Partnership Has Assisted USW in Expanding Online Offerings and Doubling Overall Enrollment

SANTA MONICA, Calif., June 06, 2016 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Greenwood Hall, Inc. (OTCQB:ELRN), an education technology company that helps colleges and universities increase revenue and improve student engagement and outcomes, today announced it has extended its successful five year partnership with Hobbs, NM based University of the Southwest (USW).

Since 2011 when USW launched an initiative to expand the reach of the university’s academic offerings online, Greenwood Hall’s turnkey solution has provided the university a strategic approach for effectively managing all stages of the student enrollment lifecycle for its undergraduate and graduate online degree programs - from admissions and financial aid to enrollment advising and support for all prospective students.

University of the Southwest offers fully online degree programs for both undergraduate and graduate students in business and education. As New Mexico’s only regionally accredited Christ-centered university, USW is dedicated to developing men and women for a lifetime of servant leadership by emphasizing individual faith, responsibility, and initiative. With USW’s successful expansion online, the university not only serves the needs of students in New Mexico but also across the Southwest, country, and globally, including members of the United States Armed Forces.

“Interest and enrollment in our online programs has grown substantially since we began working with Greenwood Hall, which has allowed the University to expand the quality and type of academic offerings it provides students both on campus and globally through our online programs,” said Dr. Ryan Tipton, Dean of Business for the University of the Southwest. “Combined with their in-depth knowledge and experience providing recruitment solutions for smaller faith-based institutions, Greenwood Hall provides USW a cost-effective, scalable solution that allows us to expand our mission and student access to our academic programming.”

“Five years ago, we were honored to partner with USW in the rapid expansion of its online learning programs for working adults,” added Dr. John Hall, Greenwood Hall’s Chief Executive Officer. “We are proud that our customized technology platform, strategies, and specialized counselors have assisted USW in doubling the University’s total headcount. USW offers high-quality, student-centric academic programs that are practically-based with very engaged faculty. It has been a pleasure to expand awareness of and access to such affordable and high value education programs.”
