NEW YORK, March 12, 2001 (PRIMEZONE) -- Gruntal & Co. today announced that Joseph V. Battipaglia, Gruntal's Chief Investment strategist, and Anthony Carmenate, Vice President, Regent Investor Services, will share their market insights and strategy in a seminar that will focus on which sectors an individual investor should be investing in now.

 WHEN: Thursday, March 15, 2001, 7:00 p.m.

 WHERE: Roslyn Claremont Hotel
           1221 Old Northern Blvd.
           Roslyn, New York

The seminar will address how to develop and achieve individual investment objectives through professional asset management. Individuals may attend the symposium free of charge.

Mr. Battipaglia will focus on investment opportunities and money management strategies versus individual stock selection. Mr. Battipaglia has held senior positions at Gruntal for 17 years, and his investment insight is regularly spotlighted on radio and television. His special guest appearances include CNN's "Larry King Live," PBS's "The Nightly Business Report," NBC's "Today Show" and "Meet the Press," and numerous financial programs on CNBC.

Mr. Carmenate will explain his firm's sector-oriented management style, which is based on analysis of the dynamics of economic sectors and their underlying industry segments. Regent Investor Services constructs client portfolios by emphasizing or de-emphasizing a sector's percentage weight in the portfolio versus the S&P 500 weight for that sector.

Regent opened its doors for business in 1982 and today manages more than $10 billion for thousands of investors.
