New Management Appointments at Skanska Financial Services


STOCKHOLM, Sweden, Oct. 4, 2002 (PRIMEZONE) -- Anders Arling has been appointed new President of Skanska Financial Services. He succeeds Thomas Alm, who was earlier appointed to the Skanska (Other OTC:SKSBF) Senior Executive Team.

Skanska Financial Services is responsible for the Group's financial operations. The main task of Skanska Financial Services is to support the Group's core activities by providing specialist competence, assuming responsibility for Group borrowings, project financing and insurance matters, as well as analyzing and managing financial risks in the Group's operations. Skanska Financial Services is responsible for 80 percent of Group borrowings.

Anders Arling is 43 and studied business at the University of Stockholm. He has worked for Skanska since 1998, most recently as Executive Vice President of Skanska Financial Services.

Nils Lindstedt has been named Executive Vice President of Skanska Financial Services. Aged 47, Nils Lindstedt holds a business degree from the Stockholm School of Economics. He has been active within Skanska since 1998.
