CLEBURNE, Texas, June 15, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- National Heritage Sales Corporation, a wholly owned subsidiary of United Heritage Corporation (Nasdaq:UHCP), announced today that its products will now be sold on QVC, a leading television shopping network. National Heritage, which sells the Heritage Lifestyle Products(tm) line of prepackaged, fully seasoned meats, will have its products featured on the shopping network beginning on Wednesday, June 16th at 5 p.m. eastern time.
"The exposure on national television may greatly enhance sales and revenue and likely shorten the time period under which we are able to divest our National Heritage subsidiary so that we can focus on our promising oil and gas activities," said Walter G. Mize United Heritage Corporation's Chief Executive Officer. "As we are now on the cusp of beginning an active drilling program, it is prudent to divest ourselves of non-core holdings. We hope the relationship with QVC will allow us to quickly pursue plans to either divest, or spin-off to our shareholders, our National Heritage subsidiary."
The National Heritage product line includes Heritage Lifestyle Lite Beef(r), Heritage Lifestyle Choice Beef(tm), Heritage Lifestyle Chicken(tm), Heritage Lifestyle Pork(tm) and the Heritage Lifestyle Lite Beef(r) line of fresh meat products. These products are currently sold to regional grocery chains. The initial broadcast will highlight the Company's "Big City Steakhouse Broiler". The "on air" presentation will feature the Company's corporate chef who assisted in developing the "flavor profile" for its Heritage Lifestyle Products(tm).
