TRAXION Set to Electrify Chicago With The Automotive Industry's Newest Mega Event Experience

CHICAGO, June 15, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- Southern California-based modifiedmarketing LLC, is bringing the automotive industry's newest Mega Event -- TRAXION to Hawthorne Race Course in Chicago, IL on Saturday, June 19, 2004. TRAXION combines a Timed Autocross, Drift Demonstration & Thrill Ride, Tuner Auto Show Expo, Vendor Village and live entertainment featuring both local and national talent. The event series is scheduled to visit seven cities nationwide and was launched April 10, 2004 in Dallas.

TRAXION has signed collaborative partnership agreements with Mazda North American Operations to supply the autocross with vehicles; and Skip Barber Racing School to participate both as autocross designer and manager of the course. The Creative Artist Agency (CAA) is working with modifiedmarketing on attracting some of Chicago's brightest musical talent for the main stage music event. TRAXION will be the automotive industry's first truly interactive and experiential event of its kind.

From Chicago, TRAXION will continue each month thereafter, visiting Miami, New York, Los Angeles and San Francisco and the series will close out in Houston with a final competition held to determine the best autocross racer from each individual city. All TRAXION events will include a state-of-the-art Car Show, Timed Autocross Competition (Auto X Challenge), Drift Expo, Pro Drifter "Ride Along" Experience, Vendor Village and some of the countries hottest Hip-Hop artists and DJ's at the Mainstream Music stage.
