Mark Wilbur Named Associate Dean of USC Corporate Leadership Programs


LOS ANGELES, Aug. 30, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- Mark Wilbur accepted the post of Associate Dean of the Office of Corporate Programs, announced Yash Gupta, the dean of the Marshall School of Business at the University of Southern California (USC). The office fulfills the continuing education needs of organizations and their executives.

"Mark Wilbur has a strong capability to understand the increasing demands on today's professionals and their needs in continuing to grow, develop and remain relevant for a successful career," praised Dean Gupta.

Wilbur recently joined the business school as Acting Associate Dean of External Affairs in January 2004. He brings 17 years of strategic business and financial consulting experience with Arthur Andersen, spending his time serving clients across Southern California, including many of the premier companies in the Los Angeles area.

Wilbur will report to James Ellis, recently appointed Vice Dean of the Office of Corporate Programs, and assist in the expansion of the business school's executive education agenda. Customized programs and broader general management education must be relevant, practical and valuable," said Wilbur. "We want professionals to be able to go into the office on Monday and put their knowledge into action and make an immediate difference."

Wilbur is a graduate of the USC Leventhal School of Accounting and earned a Master's in Business Administration from the USC Marshall School of Business. Currently, he also serves as a coach of the USC hockey team.
