New Book Reveals the Real Killer Behind the Peterson and Schuessler Murders

HANOVER PARK, Ill., Jan. 17, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- Over forty years ago in Chicago, the dead bodies of eleven-year-old Tony Schuessler, his thirteen-year-old brother, John, and their thirteen-year-old friend, Robert Peterson, were found dumped in a pile. Their families never had a chance at justice until now. But the thing is, they got the wrong man. In Margaret E. Reiling's riveting new book, The House that Jack Built, she reveals the shocking truth behind these 1955 murders and the identity of the real killer -- her father.

Twenty-six years ago, Reiling's mother passed on to her like a family heirloom the secret about her father's horrendous crime. Being sixteen at that time, she did not know what to do with the information so she kept it in secret. But in one way or another, the truth has a way of exposing itself. Reiling found the courage to bring it out into the open, believing that there can be no peace for everyone until all the pieces are found.

Indeed, dead boys tell no tales. But in The House that Jack Built, Reiling bravely takes upon herself of telling their story, of what really happened to them, and who perpetrated their gruesome murders. In the tarnished memory of her father, Reiling struggles to bring the pieces together and ultimately point the finger at the real murderer. "My book will inspire people to live a more honest life. It will bring closure to many people who followed this crime from the beginning. It will also shed some light on just how deceptive our prosecution can be when it is for their gain," Reiling reveals.
