Northrop Grumman Sponsors San Diego Padres Military Opening Night

SAN DIEGO, March 28, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Northrop Grumman Corporation (NYSE:NOC) has teamed up with the San Diego Padres to salute all members of the armed forces by sponsoring the only Military Opening Night in all of Major League Baseball. The game starts at 7:05 p.m. on April 7 at PETCO Park in downtown San Diego. As part of this event, Northrop Grumman provides 5,000 free baseball tickets to local military men and women as a way of saying thanks. The San Diego USO and the YMCA Armed Services distributed the tickets to local military commands.

In support of the event, the Padres will once again wear their desert camouflage jerseys throughout the game and will honor distinguished members of local military commands during opening ceremonies.

"Northrop Grumman is proud to support this event and the men and women serving in our armed forces," said Gene Fraser, vice president of Northrop Grumman's Unmanned Systems. "Many of our employees are reservists, veterans or have family members in the military; we have a lot of patriotism and respect for those who serve."
