„Gaivi duonos gira“ (Fresh Kvass) is the harmony of maintained traditions and ginseng

For those who cherish natural and delicate taste the brewery GUBERNIJA offers a
new non-alcoholic drink „Gaivi duonos gira“ (Fresh Kvass). It is produced using
specially prepared rye flour and pulled rye malt flavored with extract of
natural Siberia ginseng scented substance. Lemon acid is the only additive used
in production of this kvass. at's why it could be enjoyed by children as well
as by centenarians. 

Fresh Kvass is produced without any preservatives. Sophisticated kvass
production technology guarantees the quality and original taste of this drink.
Fresh Kvass with extract of natural Siberia ginseng scented substance is sold
in 0,5 l cans. 

“It took a long time to experiment what could be added to kvass. We tested how
well it goes with Lithuanian or exotic plants and fruit. By solid vote we
agreed that extract of natural Siberia ginseng scented substance enriches kvass
with delicate flavor while keeps the natural taste of kvass too” says Algirdas
Gumauskas, GUBERNIJA Production Director. 

The extract of natural Siberia ginseng scented substance used for producing
Fresh Kvass gives gentle, pleasant, and fresh flavor which stays for few
minutes after a sip of kvass. Fresh Kvass is produced maintaining the same
producing tradition as used for „Duonos gira“ (Kvass), which is very popular
among many customers. 

“However these two drinks are different. The name of the new product points
that „Gaivi duonos gira“ (Fresh Kvass)  is fresher than „Duonos gira“ (Kvass).
Fresh Kvass is less sweet and calorific. We could feel pleasant acid flavor
while tasting it” says A. Gumauskas. 

GUBERNIJA was on sales income of 25,79 million Litas per half-year of 2007.
Sales income increased by 310,2 thousand Litas comparing to the same period of
2006. The sale of kvass increased as well. 240,1 thousand dal. were sold during
the first half-year of 2007 which is 31,7% more comparing to the same period
last year result. 

GUBERNIJA running since 1665 is one of the oldest industrial brewery which has
evolved from the original concept of estate pub and brewery. Today GUBERNIJA
offers wide range of its production for Lithuanian and foreign market. The main
activities of the Company are production and sale of beer, beer drinks, cider,
and kvass.
