Delta Hits the Slopes with USSA as Official Airline Sponsor


PARK CITY, Utah, Jan. 18, 2008 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Delta Air Lines (NYSE:DAL) today announced a four-year agreement making it the official airline of the U.S. Ski and Snowboard Association (USSA).

As the parent organization of the U.S. Ski Team and U.S. Snowboarding, the USSA is the national governing body for Olympic skiing and snowboarding with more than 30,000 member athletes, coaches, officials and volunteers.

As the official airline of USSA, Delta will provide worldwide logistical support in delivering the team, coaches and equipment to their competition destinations both in the United States and throughout the world. Delta will have a presence at various USSA competitions through venue and on-course signage, sponsor announcements and kiosks giveaways.

Delta is proud to partner with many local ski areas and provides service to more than a dozen popular ski and snow boarding destinations from Salt Lake City. Upcoming opportunities include the Visa Freestyle International World Cup at Deer Valley Resort in Park City, Utah, Jan. 31-Feb. 2 and the Sprint U.S. Freestyle Championships in Park City March 28-30.

Delta will also pair team coaches and athletes with customers and guests as part of ski and snowboard clinics to be held at the competition venues. In addition, athletes will conduct meet and greets with customers and employees in select Delta Crown Rooms Clubs and airport lobbies.
