About the Author

Walter de las Casas was born in Havana, Cuba where he attended Columbus School and learned English. At age 13 he came to the United States (eventually earning a B.A. degree from Iona College in New Rochelle and an M.A. degree from Hunter College in New York City). The author began a teaching career during which he taught Spanish, English, French, Portuguese, and bilingual classes in mathematics, algebra, general science, biology and social studies. He has published three books in Spanish: La ninez que dilata, Libido and Hojas dispersas. He has also published three books in English: Tributes, Discourse and Human. Mr. de las Casas currently resides in Brooklyn, New York.
