DALLAS, March 10, 2008 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- The Frozen Food Express Group (Nasdaq:FFEX) today announced a realignment of its sales department.
Mark Peterson, 46 and a 20-year veteran of the trucking industry, has been promoted to Vice President of Enterprise Sales, with responsibility for enterprise-wide service offerings. He was previously Director of Sales for FFE Transportation Services, Inc. He has been at FFEX for 3 years.
The restructuring of the company's selling efforts is being led by Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer John T. Hickerson, according to Mit Stubbs, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. "The restructuring of our selling efforts will allow a much broader array of services vs. what we've typically sold in the past to our large national accounts," Mr. Stubbs said. "We can offer a shipper almost any trucking service he needs -- refrigerated truckload and less-than-truckload, non-refrigerated, dedicated, brokered, intermodal -- and yet we've never sold our entire line of services through a single channel. We've had folks selling our refrigerated services, others selling non-refrigerated, still others doing brokerage, dedicated and intermodal. Now everyone in our sales and marketing department will sell the whole enterprise as compared to the compartmentalized sales efforts of the past."
Four Directors of Enterprise Development will direct enterprise sales efforts in different regions. They are:
East: Jane Upton, 52, 29 years in the business, 5 years with FFEX.
North Central: Keith Whitehead, 40, 17 years in the business, 2 years with FFEX.
South Central: Jim Meyers, 59, 16 years in the trucking business, 1 year with FFEX.
West: Cliff Cordes, 50, 31 years in the trucking business, 4 years with FFEX.
