HARRISBURG, Pa., March 24, 2008 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Worldwide industrial services company Harsco Corporation (NYSE:HSC) announced today a new $1.5 million contract to provide rental forming, shoring and design engineering services during construction of the second largest hospital complex in France. The contract, from French construction giant Eiffage, is further evidence of Harsco's growing presence across the globe serving many of the world's largest and most prestigious commercial construction and infrastructure projects.

The new hospital is being built in Evry, an internationally recognized center for genetics and biotechnology research located approximately 25 miles south of Paris. The facility will serve a region of approximately 600,000 people with a full range of medical treatment services and equipment. Harsco's rental formwork will be used throughout most of this year for construction of the multi-story building's cast-in-place concrete slabs, including its floors and walls.
