Southeastern Bank Financial Corp. Declares Stock Dividend


AUGUSTA, Ga., April 24, 2008 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- The Board of Directors of Southeastern Bank Financial Corp. (OTCBB:SBFC), the holding company for Georgia Bank & Trust Company of Augusta and Southern Bank & Trust, on April 23, 2008, declared a 10 percent stock dividend that will be payable on June 2, 2008, to shareholders of record as of May 22, 2008.

The company will issue one additional share of common stock for each 10 shares owned by shareholders of record on the record date. No fractional shares shall be issued. Shareholders entitled to a fractional share will receive cash for the fractional share at a price equal to the closing price of the stock as of the record date, adjusted for the stock dividend.
