EnergySolutions Signs 5-Year Contract With Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA)

SALT LAKE CITY, UT--(Marketwire - June 3, 2008) - EnergySolutions, Inc. (NYSE : ES )
announced today it has signed a waste management agreement with the
Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA). The five-year $24 million contract
provides waste management disposal services to the Sequoyah, Watts Bar and
Browns Ferry nuclear power plants and the Western Area Radiological Lab.

EnergySolutions to safely process and dispose of its radioactive material,"

facilities and technology, TVA can be assured this material is properly
managed and safely disposed of."
The agreement is a follow-on for the previous five-year contract with TVA
for similar services. EnergySolutions' Bear Creek facility in Tennessee
will incinerate, volume reduce, compact and package materials for
transportation and disposal.
