EnergySolutions Signs 5-Year Contract With Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA)


SALT LAKE CITY, UT--(Marketwire - June 3, 2008) - EnergySolutions, Inc. (NYSE: ES) announced today it has signed a waste management agreement with the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA). The five-year $24 million contract provides waste management disposal services to the Sequoyah, Watts Bar and Browns Ferry nuclear power plants and the Western Area Radiological Lab.

The agreement is a follow-on for the previous five-year contract with TVA for similar services. EnergySolutions' Bear Creek facility in Tennessee will incinerate, volume reduce, compact and package materials for transportation and disposal.
