At a shareholders' meeting in Smáralind ehf. held on 4 June 2008 it was resolved to change the name of the company to Eignarhaldsfélagið Smáralind ehf. In connection with the name change, the daily management of the Smáralind shopping mall has been transferred to Eignarhaldsfélagið Smáralind ehf.'s subsidiary. The current name of the subsidiary is Smáralind ehf. Eignarhaldsfélagið Smáralind ehf. remains the owner of the shopping mall and a party to all lease agreeements related thereto. The transfer has no effect on the rights of creditors of Eignarhaldsfélagið Smáralind ehf. or the company's ability to pay its debts.
