Vital Signs, Inc. Announces Appointment of Chief Operating Officer


TOTOWA, N.J., June 11, 2008 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Vital Signs, Inc. (Nasdaq:VITL) today announced the promotion of Alex Chanin to the position of Chief Operating Officer. Mr. Chanin will be responsible for managing operations of the subsidiaries and will retain his duties as Chief Information officer. He will report to Terry Wall, CEO. Alex Chanin has served as Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer for Vital Signs since January 2004. Mr. Chanin holds Bachelor of Science degrees in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from Drexel University and a Master of Science in Computer Engineering from Princeton University. Alex started his career in the clinical diagnostics unit of E.I. duPont De Nemours and has spent the last 20 years in the in Consulting, Operations, Research and Development, and IT roles within the pharmaceutical and medical device industries.
