Microsemi Appoints Bel Lazar Senior VP of Operations


IRVINE, Calif., Sept. 4, 2008 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Microsemi Corporation (Nasdaq:MSCC), a leading manufacturer of high performance analog mixed signal integrated circuits and high reliability semiconductors, has announced the appointment of Bel Lazar as Senior Vice President of Operations, reporting to Ralph Brandi, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer.

Lazar comes to Microsemi from International Rectifier, where he was Vice President of the Aerospace & Defense Business Unit, having responsibilities for operations in Leominster, Massachusetts, Santa Clara, California, and Denmark.

Lazar, who has a Juris Doctor degree from Southwestern University School of Law, earned a Master of Science degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Southern California in 1986 and a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from California State University, Northridge, in 1984.
