Association of Energy Services Professionals (AESP) Announces Dr. Debra Rowe to Keynote At National Conference, January 26-29, 2009


PHOENIX, Dec. 18, 2008 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The Association of Energy Services Professionals (www.aesp.org) announced that the president of the U.S. Partnership for Education for Sustainable Development, Dr. Debra Rowe, will deliver the keynote address at the association's 19th National Energy Services Conference & Expo (NESC). The event is scheduled January 26-29, 2009 at the Hilton San Diego Resort & Spa in San Diego, CA. The keynote session is sponsored by GDS Associates (www.gdsassociates.com).

In addition to serving as president of the U.S. Partnership for Education and Sustainable Development, Dr. Rowe is a Senior Fellow at the Association of University Leaders for a Sustainable Future, national Co-coordinator of the Higher Education Associations Sustainability Consortium, and senior advisor to the Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education. Dr. Rowe has been a professor of energy management, renewable energy technology and psychology for over 28 years at Oakland Community College. She created a model energy management degree design for community and technical colleges, funded by the U.S. Department of Energy. She also created and teaches energy management and renewable energies in an online format with support from the National Science Foundation, has hosted over 100 conferences and customized training on energy and sustainable design practices, and has helped numerous colleges develop their energy curricula.
