WASHINGTON, DC--(Marketwire - January 13, 2009) - The Avascent Group is pleased to have concluded 2008 with significant support of various national and local charities and foundations. Among the groups who have received Avascent support during the past year include:

-- Air Force Aid Society. The Air Force Charity Ball is an annual event
organized by the Air Force Aid Society, the official charity of the US Air
Force. Proceeds from the event directly support active duty members and
their families with short-term financial aid and educational support.
Avascent was a Patron-level supporter for the 2008 event, which raised over
    $560,000.

tour various US cities through 2011. Avascent was a "Hero" level sponsor
for the 2008 Washington, DC stopover of the tribute that collected nearly

in their communities and succeed professionally. Build has recently
expanded to the East Coast and has launched its first project in
Washington, DC at Maya Angelou Public Charter School. Through its
partnership with Build, Avascent has provided financial support,
participates in the student-mentor program, and will serve on the
    organization's Board of Directors.

-- Coast Guard Foundation. The Coast Guard Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-
profit that supports projects that enhance the education, welfare and

    June 2008.

-- Friends of the National Arboretum. FONA is a 501c non-profit

gardens that conserve and showcase plants to enhance the environment.
Avascent was a Patron level supporter of its principal 2008 fundraising
event, and has supported the organization over the past four years.

"As evidenced by our activities this past year, Avascent's charitable arm is dedicated to supporting the philanthropic needs and interests of organizations serving active duty and retired US military personnel and their families nationally, as well as education, environmental, and health causes in the Washington DC area," said Steve Irwin, Avascent's president. "Helping to make a difference in the lives of people that touch on our work, who we are, and where we live is a large part of what it means to be an Avascent employee."
