Lysaker, 14 January 2009 Nord Pool has received the following information from the Norwegian Water Resources and Energy Directorate (NVE): Similar prices in south and north In week 2, the average price level on electrical power in Mid- and Northern Norway was equal the price in Southern Norway. The prices have not been similar since week 20 in 2007. The average price was NOK/MWh 405 in both areas. From week 1, the price in Southern Norway fell by NOK/MWh 8. In Mid- and Northern Norway the level fell by NOK/MWh. The fall was caused by wet weather conditions and higher temperatures. The Norwegian reservoir level fell by 2.2 percentage points during week 2. Inflow above normal and unchanged production gave less decrease in the level than last week.
