Digital Angel Corp. (Nasdaq:DIGA) develops identification and security products for consumer, commercial and government sectors worldwide. The company operates through two segments, Animal Identification and Emergency Identification. The Animal Identification segment develops, manufactures and markets visual and electronic identification tags and implantable radio frequency identification systems microchips primarily for the identification, tracking and location of companion pets, horses, livestock, fish and wildlife, as well as for animal bio-sensing applications.

"Digital Angel announced that its Destron Fearing unit has won a Danish government contract to provide livestock tags in Denmark for a minimum period of four years, beginning May 1. Destron Fearing was the Company to gain acceptance in all six contract categories: three categories of animal cattle, swine, sheep and goats, and for both types of tags: visual and electronic."
