Integra Bank Breaks Ground for New Northfield Banking Center

EVANSVILLE, Ind., Oct. 29, 2009 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Integra Bank (Nasdaq:IBNK) held the ceremonial groundbreaking yesterday for its new full-service Northfield Banking Center located in northern Vanderburgh County.

Integra Bank executives, along with local officials, chamber representatives, and special guests of the bank attended the event held on the bank's future branch site located in front of the Buehler's Buy-Low on U.S. 41 North. Michael J. Alley, Chairman and CEO of Integra, spoke to the group of Integra's commitment to hire local firms to complete the construction of the new facility.

"We are extremely excited to begin construction of this facility," stated Alley. "We've worked very hard to break away from the traditional bank branch and create a highly functional "open space" design allowing for greater customer interaction -- whether you are standing in the lobby or sitting in your car looking through the full-view drive-thru."

"This unique branch prototype has been in development for several years and features a customer-friendly environment staffed by a team of Universal Bankers," stated Roger M. Duncan, Executive Vice President and head of Retail Banking for Integra. "Our Universal Bankers can perform a complete array of transactions, which makes the customer experience more convenient by talking with one experienced banker instead of getting shuffled around from person to person."

This new branch features a circular customer service counter to allow the Universal Bankers to assist customers quicker and more seamless than the traditional bank teller line allowed. In addition, the design includes digital merchandising and a kids entertainment area.

Integra is currently located inside the Buehler's Buy-Low with a limited service facility. Integra intends to close its in-store branch and replace it with this new location. Integra anticipates the branch to open in April 2010. Integra currently serves Evansville with 11 full-service locations and 45 ATMs.
