The only recognised "stamp of approval" in the industry with respect to "green" operations, the NSF/ANSI 140-2007 Sustainable Carpet Assessment was the first American National Standards Institute (ANSI)-approved measure for environmentally favorable building products. NSF-140 accounts for every stage in the production and distribution processes, from the use of recycled materials to factory emissions to the quality of the working environment.
