Northwest Pipe Company's Bossier City Facility Receives ISO Certification and API License


VANCOUVER, WA--(Marketwire - January 25, 2011) - Northwest Pipe Company (NASDAQ: NWPX), an industry leader of engineered welded steel pipe and tube products, recently completed the American Petroleum Institute's (API) audit for 5L and 5CT at its Bossier City facility.

The Bossier City facility which manufactures Electric Resistance Welded (ERW) steel pipe for the Company's Tubular Products Group has an estimated capacity of 125,000 tons per year. With the addition of the API license, the facility can begin production of carbon grade casing and line pipe. In addition, the facility will continue to supply green tubes suitable for upgrade to a select group of API processors.
