Websites Developed for Smithers-Oasis, Shaw Flooring, PODS, and Omgeo are Award Winners

WOBURN, Mass., May 19, 2011 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Bridgeline Digital, Inc. (Nasdaq:BLIN), developer of the award-winning iAPPS web experience management product suite and interactive technology solutions, announced today that it has received four Horizon Interactive Awards for outstanding development of interactive web applications and websites for customers Smithers-Oasis, Shaw Flooring, PODS, and Omgeo. The ninth annual Horizon Awards fielded more than one thousand entries from over 22 countries around the world with winning entries showcasing the industry's best interactive media solutions including websites, online ads, video, mobile applications and more. The Horizon Interactive Awards holds the annual competition in early spring of each year with the winners being announced in May.

"This years' competition included an outstanding entry field," said Mike Sauce, founder of the Horizon Interactive Awards. "The overall diversity and quality of entries we received was fantastic and judging was very competitive. We're starting to see a convergence of all types of media, from Web to mobile, into more integrated solutions for clients around the world. That's exciting to see!"

In the Business to Business category, Bridgeline received a Silver award for development of the Shaw Web Studio (http://www.shawwebstudio.com). Shaw Flooring is a subsidiary of Berkshire Hathaway, Inc. and the world's largest carpet manufacturer. Developed on iAPPS Content Manager, iAPPS Analytics and iAPPS Commerce, Shaw Web Studio was built for Shaw's nationwide network of flooring retailers. Shaw Web Studio provides access to tools, content, and collateral, enabling retailers to build and manage their own professional websites that benefit from iAPPS' full range of easy-to-use administrative functionality, as well as a best-in-class feature set that includes industry-leading SEO (Search Engine Optimization) capabilities along with integrated web analytics reporting that offers unparalleled insight into customer and site visitor activity.

Winning in the Consumer Information category with a Silver award was the Smithers-Oasis Website (www.oasisfloral.com), recently redesigned on the iAPPS Product Suite. Smithers-Oasis is a leading global manufacturer of floral products for the floral retail and wholesale industries. Bridgeline aided in creating their new multi-lingual website on iAPPS Content Manager to support Smithers-Oasis' efforts to extend its brand identity worldwide via the Internet.

Also winning a Silver award in the Consumer Information category was the PODS Website redesign (www.pods.com). PODS is a leader in the moving and storage industry in the U.S., Canada, United Kingdom, and Australia. Recently redeveloped, the new PODS site was targeted specifically at increasing the percentage of PODS' customers that book online versus over the phone. The new site focuses heavily on delivering relevant user experiences for identified audience segments that visit PODS.com with the goal of providing relevant information for each.

Lastly, in the Education category, Bridgeline received a Bronze award for the development of the Omgeo Central Trade Manager (CTM) Flash Demo, a browser-based user interface demonstration. A highly effective tool to introduce new clients to CTM's features and benefits and to provide an animated tour of the product's key functionality, the CTM demo helped to increase subscriptions and reduce the amount of Customer Service calls received by Omgeo.
