NetApp Recognized by CIO Magazine as One of the CIO 100 Award Honorees

SUNNYVALE, CA--(Marketwire - Jun 16, 2011) - IDG's CIO magazine recently announced NetApp (NASDAQ: NTAP) as a recipient of the 2011 CIO 100 award for its Field Service Order (FSO) system, which uses automation to improve the NetApp partner and customer experience. The 24th annual award program recognizes organizations around the world that exemplify the highest level of operational and strategic excellence in information technology (IT).

"We are gratified that CIO recognized NetApp for the innovative ways we provide service and support," said Marina Levinson, senior vice president and CIO, NetApp. "The FSO solution has significantly improved partner productivity as well as customer satisfaction."

"This year's CIO 100 awards draw well-deserved attention to companies that are not only innovating with IT but creating genuine business value as well," said Maryfran Johnson, editor in chief of CIO magazine and Events. "These winning companies and their IT organizations are an inspiration to businesses everywhere."

The 2011 CIO 100 awards will be presented at The Broadmoor in Colorado Springs, Colorado, on August 14-16 at the conclusion of the 16th annual CIO 100 Symposium® and Awards Ceremony.

About the CIO 100
The recipients of this year's CIO 100 awards were selected through a three-step process. First, companies filled out an online application form detailing their innovative IT and business initiatives. Next, a team of judges reviewed the applications in depth, looking for unique practices and substantial results. Finally, CIO editors reviewed the judges' recommendations and voted on the final 100.

Complete coverage of the 2011 CIO 100 awards will be online at www.cio.com on August 1, 2011, and in the August 1 issue of CIO magazine.
