Top Celebrity and Crisis Management Attorney to Lead Southeast Sports & Entertainment Practice


ATLANTA, Jan. 23, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Lewis, Brisbois, Bisgaard & Smith LLP announced that Leron E. Rogers joins the firm as a partner in the Entertainment and Commercial Litigation practice groups, based in the firm's Atlanta office. Rogers, who will lead the Entertainment and IP Practice with Lewis Brisbois partner Stephen Weizenecker, brings a notable list of sports and entertainment clients from the Law Offices of Hewitt & Rogers. Rogers' focus will be on expanding the practice's corporate litigation opportunities along with its traditional intellectual property, technology and media work. 

Rogers focuses his practice on negotiating the labyrinth of sports and entertainment laws, with an emphasis on counseling celebrities and corporate brands involved in legal disputes. He is widely recognized as a leading expert on artist's rights particularly with respect to licensing, branding, endorsement and marketing agreements. Clients include national and international corporations, athletes, actors/actresses, radio personalities, television personalities, Grammy nominated artists, songwriters, producers, management companies, record labels and publishing companies.

In addition to his expertise in the sports and entertainment field, Rogers has substantial experience in commercial litigation, business and commercial transactions, as well as crisis management.

Rogers earned his B.S. in finance from Texas State University and graduated from Florida State University College of Law.
