Mountain America Credit Union and the Utah Jazz “Pass It Along” To Tabitha’s Way

WEST JORDAN, Utah, Dec. 01, 2017 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Mountain America Credit Union and the Utah Jazz announced today that Tabitha’s Way is this season’s second recipient of “Pass It Along,” a program featuring fan nomination opportunities that rewards five local charitable organizations with $5,000 each.

Tabitha’s Way, a food pantry that serves families and individuals struggling with food insecurity in Utah County, will be presented with a $5,000 donation prior to the Monday, December 4 game versus the Washington Wizards at Vivint Smart Home Arena. The photo and check presentation will take place on center court at 5:00 p.m.

“The Pass It Along donation is greatly appreciated to help our efforts to reduce food insecurity in Utah County,” said Executive Director Wendy Osborne. “The people we serve are hard-working neighbors who are experiencing temporary challenges and are grateful for the help they receive when they come into our pantries. This donation will allow us to redistribute 45,454 meals to local families in need, which gets them nutritious food for an entire month.”

In addition to the $5,000 donation, Tabitha’s Way received tickets to Monday’s game along with a visit from Mountain America Credit Union President and CEO Sterling Nielsen.

Fans are encouraged to nominate local charitable groups that they feel go above and beyond in giving back to the community via www.utahjazz.com/passitalong. One winner is announced each month, from November 2017 through March 2018, for a total of $25,000 being donated to five deserving organizations.
