Premier Shockwave to Exhibit at the Tribal Public Health Conference in Norman, OK, April 25-26, 2018

SUWANEE, GA, April 19, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- SANUWAVE Health, Inc. (OTCQB: SNWV) and Premier Shockwave, Inc. are pleased to announce that the company will exhibit at the Tribal Public Health Conference in Norman, OK, April 25 – 26, 2018. This will be Premier Shockwave’s first opportunity to present the dermaPACE® System since being selected by SANUWAVE Health, Inc. as its exclusive distributor to the Indian Health Service (IHS) and Tribally operated healthcare services market.

“We are excited to be exhibiting at the 2018 Tribal Public Health Conference. It is an honor to be able to work with the IHS and the Tribal healthcare community to bring a game-changing product to this market which will materially improve patient outcomes and quality of life for those suffering from chronic Diabetic Foot Ulcers “DFUs”. The dermaPACE® System will enable Tribal healthcare to treat their own DFUs internally and not be dependent on out-sourcing area facilities. This will save thousands of dollars per DFU treated by Tribal healthcare.” Stated David Anderson, Executive Vice President of Premier Shockwave Wound Care, Inc. an affiliate of Premier Shockwave, Inc. He added, “Any physician who sees DFUs can prescribe the dermaPACE® System.  We expect to see interest from not only podiatrists but also endocrinologists, vascular surgeons, foot & ankle orthopedists and to have their nurses or assistants trained to use the dermaPACE® System on patients in a wound care facility or an in-office setting.”

The Company is using this occasion to formally introduce their lead wound care product, the dermaPACE® System, based upon SANUWAVE’s proprietary Pulsed Acoustic Cellular Expression (PACE®) Technology.    PACE® Technology is the newest generation of shockwave technology utilizing the electrohydraulic shockwave principle and has been proven in two double-blind, randomized-control US based clinical trials enrolling 336 subjects to be safe and effective in the treatment of Diabetic Foot Ulcers.  Within a few weeks of initial treatment, wounds treated with dermaPACE® reduce in area at superior rates compared to control subjects. The dermaPACE® System continued to exhibit superiority in wound area reduction from baseline and exhibited superiority in wound closure within 20 weeks of initial treatment. The use of the dermaPACE®  System allows the clinician to more easily, and more cost-effectively, manage wounds. More importantly, the patient’s quality of life improves significantly.
